Intel has recently disclosed its strategy for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. As part of this initiative, Intel will integrate Intel processors into various facets of the event, utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance the overall experience.
As the Official Worldwide AI Platform Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Intel will introduce new, innovative AI experiences based on Intel hardware and software that will enable next-generation engagement for fans, organizers, athletes, and viewers around the world.

The first Olympics to showcase an end-to-end 8K broadcasting experience.

Paris 2024 will be one of the largest events ever organized in France, with nearly 15,000 athletes, millions of spectators, and billions of viewers worldwide. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will use Intel's artificial intelligence (AI) technology in three key areas during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
New and Exciting AI Experiences in Paris
In Paris, Intel's technology will show how it can help athletes, coaches, and spectators before and during the Games.
Intel will create an interactive experience for fans, allowing them to experience what it's like to be an Olympic athlete. Using AI, athletic exercises will be analyzed, and each participant will be matched with an appropriate Olympic sport.
Additionally, Intel is improving accessibility for visually impaired individuals. Using Intel technology, 3D models of some Olympic venues will allow indoor and voice navigation through an app.
High-Quality 8K Broadcast
Paris 2024 will be the first Olympic event to use Intel technology to broadcast in 8K, a very high image quality. This will allow viewers worldwide to watch the Olympic Games with incredible picture quality.
Intel's AI will also enable broadcasters to offer personalized content faster than ever. This means event highlights can be packaged and distributed to fans almost instantly.
Preserving Olympic History
To preserve the history of the Olympic Games, Intel will transform videos of Olympic collections into 3D digital models. This will allow the Olympic Museum to showcase its collections in interactive digital environments, where viewers can explore pieces of Olympic history as if they were holding them in their hands.
Intel's Innovations in the Olympic Games
Intel has been innovating in the Olympic Games since PyeongChang 2018, with technologies like 5G, virtual reality, drones, and AI platforms. In Tokyo 2020, Intel's drones flew to symbolize global solidarity after the pandemic. Intel also helped make the first live broadcast over 5G possible in Beijing 2022.

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The Paralympic Games will take place from August 28 to September 8.
